Lastly, mediocrity. I think we’re in a time where putting in minimal effort or thought into our work has been more rewarding than in the past and it’s lowkey been grinding my gears. Now I’m not talking about artistic minimalism. I’m talking about events, videos, flyers, parties that have just been thrown together and made public.
Don’t get me wrong sometimes less is better and you don’t need to break the bank trying to do more that’s what’s needed. But it does starts to be a problem when it’s happening all the time.
I do realize that I probably have more standards and expectations for the art I put out in the word (when I’m not lazy or in a rush lol). So I don’t trip too much but it’s can’t become the norm. I love seeing people drop good artwork, content, clothes, flyers, etc.
In conclusion lol
I say all of this to say, none of this is an excuse for us to complain or reasons to stop us from making a way. GCEG is still gonna try and make it happen one way or another if not now then maybe later down the line but it will happen eventually.
